How do I connect Conversio to Viralsweep?

ViralSweep has a built a big set of tools that will help you engage your audience.

You can run a contest, giveaway or sweepstake with a strong social focus. Here is how to connect your Conversio to Viralsweep.
Login to your Viralsweep account or create one if you haven't already done so.

1) Connect Viralsweep to Conversio

Go to your Viralsweep account and set a promotion, the go to the "Connect Email Service" section and click on the Conversio option.

2) Accept Permissions

To connect to your Conversio account, you need to accept the permissions that Viralsweep is requesting to access Conversio account. Simply click the green Authorize button to proceed.

3) Choose a List

Viralsweep will automatically display your Conversio lists -- simply choose one from the dropdown menu and click connect.

4) You're connected

That's it, you're all set. Your promotion is now connected to your Conversio list, and Viralsweep will send all entry data into the list you selected.


What fields can I pass into Conversio?

You can pass the following fields into Conversio:
- Email Address
- First Name
- Last Name
- Address
- Address 2
- City
- State
- Zip
- Country
- Phone
- Birthday
- Referral Link (automatically passed if value exists)
- Campaign Name (automatically passed if value exists)
- Referral Source URL (automatically passed if value exists)


If you have connected your campaign to Conversio and data is not being passed to your list, these are the most common reasons as to why: 

  • Email already in Conversio list

The email address entered into the promotion may already be in your Conversio list, so it will not be added again. 

  • Email already entered into ViralSweep: 

The email address entered into the promotion has already been entered into the promotion previously, so therefore it is not passed to Conversio. This can happen if you set up your Conversio integration after you have already entered the promotion. 

  • User did not opt-in:

The user did not click the link in their double opt-in confirmation email that was sent to them. If they don't click that link, they won't be added to your form. You can disable double opt-in within your Conversio settings (within the specific list, within Segments & Lists).

  •  Delay in reporting

There could be a delay in reporting. Please allow it some time and try checking again in a few hours. 

Removing the double opt-in email

To remove the double opt-in email that Conversio sends out, simply click on your Conversio list, and then under Confirm List Subscription? select OFF. This means that anytime someone enters your promotion, they will automatically get added to your list in Conversio.
