About Double Opt-ins

All Conversio subscription forms requires the subscriber to double opt-in before we can allow you to send an email to this subscriber.

After a new subscriber fills out a subscription form, we’ll send them an email with a link to confirm their subscription to your mailing list.

Why do we require double opt-ins?

Double opt-in requires subscribers to confirm that they subscribed to your list and that they really want to receive your emails.

Industry statistics show that double opt-in lists have better subscriber engagement levels over time: more opens and clicks, and fewer bounces and unsubscribes. 

Double opt-in also keeps your account and your domain's sending reputation (which will impact the deliverability of all of your emails) safe from scammers and spammers.

The Conversio Double Opt-in Process

Once a subscriber has filled out your subscription, we will send out a simple email containing a link to confirm their subscription.

You can edit the default opt-in confirmation email in your account here.

Once they click the link in that email, their subscription to the list will be effective, and you can send any emails to them.

Using different opt-in confirmations emails for different lists

If you would not like to use the default opt-in confirmation email for a specific list, you can customize the look for that list only.

To do that, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Customer Lists page in your Conversio dashboard.
  2. Find the list for which you'd like to create a specific opt-in confirmation email and click the "Create Opt-in" button.
  3. Customise the email and click save.

Note: If you have not created a specific opt-in confirmation email for a list, we will use the default opt-in confirmation email.
