Overview

Conversio allows you to include a variety of different upsells into your receipts.

Order Discount

This upsell will automatically generate a unique discount coupon. The coupon will only be valid for a future purchase and does not apply to the current purchase.

You can customize the following coupon settings:

  • Coupon Type: Select “Cart Discount” for a fixed amount (i.e. $10 off), or “Cart Percentage Discount” for a percentage (i.e. 10% off).
  • Amount: This is the value of the coupon (i.e. if you enter “20”, the code will be for $20 or 20% off.) Note: the value will automatically use your store's default currency.
  • Before Tax: If you switch this on, the discount will only be calculated on the pre-tax amount.
  • Expiry Date: The number of days the coupon will be valid, from the day on which it is generated.
  • Limit to customer's email: If this option is selected, only the customer/email address that was originally sent the code will be able to use the discount on a future purchase.
  • Conditions: You can limit the discount to orders from a specific collection (Collection), or with a minimum spending (Orders Over). This is limited to Shopify and BigCommerce. To set the discount on all, select (All Orders).

This upsell is best used if you want to:

Incentivize your customers to make another sale in the future (increasing their Customer Lifetime Value) or to reward loyal customers for repeated purchases.

Shipping Discount

This upsell will automatically generate a unique coupon for free shipping. The coupon will only be valid for a future purchase and does not apply to the current purchase.

You can customize the following coupon settings:

  • Expiry Date: The number of days the coupon will be valid, from the day on which it is generated.
  • Amount: The maximum shipping discount you’d like to give your customer i.e. entering “100” will discount the shipping fees of any order to a maximum of $100. (Shopify only)
  • Limit to customer's email: If this option is selected, only the customer/email address that was originally sent the code will be able to use the discount on a future purchase.

This upsell is best used if you want to:

Incentivize your customers to make another sale in the future (increasing their Customer Lifetime Value) or to reward loyal customers for repeated purchases.

Similar Products

This upsell is backed by our recommendation engine and algorithm. This basically means that we look at historic purchases and customer behaviour on your website to determine (via statistical models) which products they are most likely to purchase.

This upsell type is best used if you want to upsell/cross-sell other products to your customer.

Tip

Use the Similar Products module together with Recommendations Widgets to capture more data about your customer behavior.

With more data, we can optimize recommendations across both channels (which in turn means that we increase the likelihood of your customers acting upon those recommendations).

Refer-A-Friend

This upsell will automatically facilitate a social sharing mechanism, where a referred buyer will receive a discount code and the referring customer will receive reward discount for successful referrals.

You can customize the following settings:

  • Referral Coupon Type: Select between “Fixed Amount” (i.e. “10” will equal $10) or “Percentage” (i.e. “10” will equal 10%).
  • Referral Coupon Amount: This is the value of the coupon (i.e. if you enter “20”, the code will be for $20 or 20% off.) Note: the value will automatically use your store's default currency.
  • Expiry Period: This is the number of days the coupon will be valid.
  • Show Social Buttons: This will enable or disable your Facebook & Twitter sharing buttons.
  • Minimum Spend Limit: Including a number here will mean that only orders in excess of this amount can use the referral coupon.
  • Maximum Spend Limit: This will impose a limit on the size of order with which the discount coupon can be used. (WooCommerce only)
  • Individual Use: If you enable this, this discount coupon can not be used in conjunction with other discount coupons. (WooCommerce only)
  • Limit to one user per user: If you enable this, every customer will only be able to use the referral coupon once. (WooCommerce only)
  • Exclude Sale Items: If you enable this, the discount will not be available on sale items.

Sharing

This section contains the content that we will use in the email, Twitter or Facebook message.

  • Email Subject: This is the default subject line of the referral email.
  • Email Body: This is the default body content that we will include in the referral email.
  • Social Body: This is the default message that we will use when this is shared on Twitter.

Redeem Page Settings

This is the page to which a referred customer will be redirected (once they have clicked on the referral URL).

  • Show On Store: This is the recommended option. We will redirect the user to your store and the details of the referral (and coupon code) will be shown in a modal window.
  • Show On Conversio: The alternative to the "Show On Store" option is to redirect the referred customer to a page inside Conversio, where we will publish the details of the referral.
  • Title: This is the title of the referral.
  • Sub-title: This is displayed just below the main title as a tagline.
  • Description: Include all of the details of your referral here.
  • Instructions: Include the steps on how the coupon can be used.
  • Link: The URL to where you would like to redirect the user thereafter. We recommend this to be your homepage or your main shop page.
  • Link Title: The title of the button.

Coupon Settings

  • Usage Limit: The amount of times the referral coupon can be used. Setting it to 0 will be for infinite uses (recommended).

Reward Email Settings

The reward email will be delivered to the referrer upon a successful purchase made using their unique coupon code.

  • Subject: This is the subject line of the email.
  • Title: This is the title in the body of the email.
  • Description: This is the body of the email.

This upsell type is best used if you want to:

Use word-of-mouth to acquire new customers cost-efficiently, and incentivize your existing customers to make another purchase.
